My favorite Character in the book is Adonis. He is my favorite character because through out the book you can see all the changes he went through. Like at the beginning of the book he was just a typical highschool jock, and at the end of the book he relizes that some things are more important then his team. What confused me is that Adonis acted like he hated alan because he was gay, but he only put up the act because of his so called "friends", but if they where truely his friends then wouldn't they not care who Adonis was friends with? What I didn't like about the book is how the whole school made fun of alan for being gay, eveyday he would be called names and other rude things, and on top of that his own father( who is a colonel in the military) didn't know his son because Alan was to afraid to tell his dad because he was afraid that he would disown him. If I had to choose a character from the book to NOT be my neighbor, I think I would choose Ethan. I would choose him because he was the one that started the whole thing with alan, and I think if he wouldn't of opened his mouth then everything would of been better. If I were to pick a character from the book to be my friend, I think I would have to pick Alan. I choose him because I think it would be cool to have a gay best friend that i could go shopping with and do a bunch or other cool stuff with. I think that if you give this book a chance, then you'll like it.
