Out Of My Mind by Sharon M Draper

Chapter 8-11
The most exciting thing that happend in these chapters is Melody got a new baby sister named Penny, and a dog named buttetscotch. It makes me mad that the book had the new baby(Penny) normal, like no disabilities or anything. She is a healthy baby girl. Melody was happy when she found out her mom was pregnet, she was so happy she gave her a huge hug. Butterscotch seems to be a good dog, I say this because every where melody and penny went he would be right there by them. Like when melody tipped over her wheelchair the dog ran into the door and barked until melody's mom came to help her. And I think its mesed up how melodys mom kept saying it was hard to take care of two children and one of them was melody. And I think its also messed up how melody's mom was so worried that the new baby would of turned out to be just like melody.

Out Of My Mind by Sharon M Draper

Chapters 5-8
In these chapters I learned about her class mates, melody(which is ten now) talks about her classmates Ashley,Carl,Maria,Gloria, and Willy. Ashley is the youngest in the group, and their fashion model. Carl is nine and kind of on the heavy set side, but unlike melody he can move his own wheelchair with his hands, and he is able to write his name with a pencil. Maria is ten and has down syndrome. So unlike the rest of the class she is able to walk, talk, and pretty much do the oppisite of what they do. They call Gloria the rocker. They call her this because she rocks for hours in a corner. Shes autistic. Then theres Willy. Im not sure what he is diagnosied with, but he does is make alot of different noises and he can talk. For example he yodels. I actualy that that was kind of funny. And he really likes baseball. I couldn't imagine having a disibility like them, if i was stuck in a weelchair I think if they didnt understand me the first time I'd just start running over peoples toes or just scream as loud as I could for as long as I could. And to be honest I would want some one to just let me die. Because you can't really experience life if you have a disibilty like melody. I feel bad for her because nobody understands her,not even her own mom and dad.

Out Of My Mind by Sharon m Draper

Chapters 3-5
In these three chapters melody talked about how she remembers her childhood. For example, she said she remembers a stuffed cat that her dad bought her, but unfortently despite her liking it she was unable to keep ahold of the thing, because her body didn't want to. The thing that made me mad at this book wad in chapter 4, melody went to the
Docter to find out if she could go to school, and she knew all the answers correctly, but she had no way of telling him other then making noises and kicking. So the docter decided to diognois melody as Profoundley Retarded. And this made me mad because there is absolutly nothing wrong with her brain, it's just her body.

Out Of My Mind by Sharon m Draper

Chapter 1-2

So far the book is about this girl named melody who is 11 and unlike most kids she can't walk, talk, or do much of anything. She is like every other 11 year old, except she is stuck in her mind. She knows whats going on around her and everything but she cant do anything to show people that she understands. I think she is frustrated at the situation. Atleast I know I would be.

Crossinglines By Paul Volponi

My favorite Character in the book is Adonis. He is my favorite character because through out the book you can see all the changes he went through. Like at the beginning of the book he was just a typical highschool jock, and at the end of the book he relizes that some things are more important then his team. What confused me is that Adonis acted like he hated alan because he was gay, but he only put up the act because of his so called "friends", but if they where truely his friends then
